Camp Theme: “Made to Magnify God!”
“Magnified!” VBS :
1. Encourage kids to look closely at the details of God’s amazing world and magnify or proclaim God’s greatness.
2. God made us, cares about us, loves us, forgives us, and is faithful to keep all His promises.
3. We can praise God together! We were made to magnify God!”
This 7-week summer camp integrates *performing arts, Music, Fashion Design, Robotics, and biblical truth to help young minds discover and use their talents to glorify God.
Through hands-on training in acting, singing, dancing, keyboarding, robotics, and worship arts, students will develop confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills while embracing the call to worship God with their gifts.
Program Overview: “Magnified!” in Four Progressive Sections
Section 1: Foundations of Worship, Creativity & Innovation
Week 1: June 9th – 13th
Week 2: June 16th – 20th
Theme:
We Are Created to Worship – Psalm 95:6
1. Understanding how music, dance, drama, and technology can be acts of worship
Introduction to acting techniques (voice projection, facial expressions, storytelling)
2. Foundations of Singing: Breath control, pitch, and vocal exercises
3. Keyboarding Basics: Intro to chords, melody, and worship music
4. Fashion & Worship: Designing garments inspired by biblical themes
5. Group Devotional: How did David use the arts to worship God? (Psalm 150)
Section 2: Skill Development in the Arts & Innovation (1 week)
Week 3: June 23rd -27th
Theme:
We Proclaim God’s Greatness – 1 Peter 2:9
1. Advanced Acting & Monologues: Expressing emotion & character study
2. Vocal Performance: Harmonization, vocal warm-ups, and worship leading
3. Dance & Worship: Learning expressive movement to praise music
4. Keyboarding & Songwriting: Creating simple worship songs
5. Fashion & Worship: Sketching & sewing faith-inspired clothing
Group Devotional: Miriam’s song of praise (Exodus 15:20-21)
Section 3: Bringing It All Together
Week 4: July 7th – 11th
Week 5: July 14th – 18th
Theme:
God’s Faithfulness Through the Arts & Innovation – Lamentations 3:22-23
1. Scene Work & Musical Theater: Developing group performances
2. Worship Leading 101: How to lead others in praising God
3. Runway & Performance Styling: Preparing for the final showcase
4. Recording Session: Campers record a worship song
5. Building a Portfolio: Professional headshots, testimonials, and audition prep
Group Devotional: Paul & Silas worshiping in prison (Acts 16:25-26)
Section 4:
Grand Showcase, Worship Night & Robotics Innovation Lab
Week 6: July 21st -25th
Week 7: July 28th – Aug 1st
Theme: We Were Made to Magnify God! – Psalm 34:3
1. Final Rehearsals: Preparing for a live showcase
2. Fashion & Worship: Styling for the final runway show
3. Performance Day! A night of acting, singing, worship, and fashion
4. Worship Team Experience: Leading a final camp-wide praise session
Closing Ceremony & Awards
Group Devotional: Revelation 5:13 – “ To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!”
